Dentist Greenville SC - Five Star Reviews
Five star review from Google
Palmer distinctive dentistry was the best experience I've ever had at a dentist. They treat you with respect and everyone is very courteous. Pricing is reasonable and the work I had done was quick and painless. Although the time the doctor spent explaining all the options was priceless.

The advantages of dental bridges for guests in Greenville, SC who are missing teeth

Your smile can say a lot about you. A beautiful smile can help you get your foot in the door, leave a lasting first impression, and convey happiness. On the other hand, a flawed smile can have a negative impact. Smiles with missing teeth can drastically alter your appearance, making you look older and leading to a decrease in self-confidence. Many people with missing teeth feel embarrassed by their smiles and avoid social interaction. There is good news if you are missing teeth. Dental bridges are an extremely effective restoration that can repair your smile and your self-confidence. At Palmer Distinctive Dentistry, we can help you regardless of the reason you lost your teeth.

Some of the most common reasons for adult tooth loss are injury, decay, or gum disease. Risk factors that can increase the likelihood of tooth loss are:

  • Over the age of 35
  • Male
  • Lack of regular dental care
  • Smoking/Tobacco use
  • Diabetes
  • Lack of oral care at home
  • High blood pressure
  • Rheumatoid Arthritis

The first step to seeking restorative care such as a dental bridge is to come in for a consultation. Once our team determines you are a candidate, the mouth can be prepared for the restoration. A dental bridge involves dental crowns, which are placed on existing teeth adjacent to the gap. In the middle, an artificial tooth fills in the gap. Impressions are taken and sent off to a laboratory for custom fabrication of the appliance. A temporary bridge can be placed in the interim.

Dental bridges can last for a decade or even longer with proper care. Daily oral hygiene along with regular professional dental care can help extend the life of your dental bridge.

The advantages of dental bridges include:

  • Increased functionality
  • Improved appearance
  • Improved oral health

Missing teeth do not just take a toll on the appearance; they can also seriously affect oral health. It is important that anyone who is missing teeth seek treatment. If you are ready to enjoy all of the advantages of a complete and beautiful smile, call the team at Palmer Distinctive Dentistry today to find out more about dental bridges. Our office is conveniently located at 134 Milestone Way, Greenville, SC 29615.
