Dentist Greenville SC - Five Star Reviews
Five star review from Google
Palmer distinctive dentistry was the best experience I've ever had at a dentist. They treat you with respect and everyone is very courteous. Pricing is reasonable and the work I had done was quick and painless. Although the time the doctor spent explaining all the options was priceless.

Guests discover zirconia dental bridges in Greenville, SC

We all want healthy smiles. Poor dental hygiene, illness, or trauma can lead to missing teeth. Missing teeth can cause more than just speech or chewing impediments. It can lead to further damage in the jaw. Dr. John Palmer of Palmer Distinctive Dentistry in Greenville, SC offers zirconia dental bridges to restore missing teeth.

What is a dental bridge?

A dental bridge is a fixed dental device designed to bridge the gap left by one or more missing teeth. Dental implants or natural teeth are the abutments to which bridges are adhered. The adjacent teeth must be reduced or replaced with implants and then covered with crowns to provide support for the bridge with its false tooth. Once cemented into place, bridges are not removable. They become part of the mouth and need to be cared for as natural teeth and gums.

Benefits of zirconia

At Palmer Distinctive Dentistry, we utilize zirconia for dental restorations such as bridges. Zirconia bridges are created from Zirconium oxide, a top quality, heavy duty dental ceramic. Zirconia bridges are strong, durable, and aesthetically pleasing. There are several advantages of zirconia bridges over metal bridges.

  • The material used to create zirconia bridges is biocompatible. This means the material is accepted and safe for use in the body. Guests are less likely to have allergic or adverse reactions to zirconia.
  • Zirconia is durable, less likely to fracture, and long lasting.
  • Cosmetically, zirconia bridges are all white or tooth-colored so there is no dark line showing along the gum line from a metal bridge.

If you need dental restorations such as crowns or bridges, contact Dr. John Palmer to learn more about your options to restore the health and beauty of your smile. Call Palmer Distinctive Dentistry at (864) 879-6494 today to schedule your appointment.
