Dentist Greenville SC - Five Star Reviews
Five star review from Google
Palmer distinctive dentistry was the best experience I've ever had at a dentist. They treat you with respect and everyone is very courteous. Pricing is reasonable and the work I had done was quick and painless. Although the time the doctor spent explaining all the options was priceless.

Dental Zirconia is a cost effective treatment from your Greenville area biological dentist

For the past few decades, dental implants have become a standard around the world to replace missing teeth. Though they are a newer treatment than traditional dentures or bridges, dental implants have quickly risen as the “gold standard” for tooth loss. In many cases, dental implants are composed of titanium, which is a metal. While it is considered safer than others, there are still questions about health concerns with metal used in the mouth. At Palmer Distinctive Dentistry, we use Zirconia dental implants as an alternative to titanium.

Zirconia dental implants are a biocompatible and cost effective choice to replace missing teeth.

Whenever a guest comes to us with a need for tooth replacement, we always make sure to discuss options and provide guests with the safest and most suitable treatments. A large majority of our guests turn to Zirconia dental implants because of the following benefits:

  • Unlike some other restorations, Zirconia dental implants do not rely on the support of neighboring teeth. Dental implants replace the missing tooth root, which leaves the healthy adjacent teeth untouched and helps maintain chewing balance.
  • Zirconia is resistant to corrosion or decay. The implants are extremely durable because they do not have to be affixed to natural teeth. With crowns and bridges, there is a risk of failure due to the support of natural teeth. Zirconia implants are a standalone restoration.
  • Zirconia dental implants become a part of the jawbone structure in the mouth. This helps stimulate the bone and preserve the tissue, and helps maintain proper facial contours. Other restorations that sit on top of the gums do not integrate into the jaw.

Dental implants do not require any special care; however, proper oral hygiene is necessary. Because they are placed in the jawbone, below the gum line, it is important to maintain gum health. Guests can do this by brushing and flossing regularly along with twice-yearly dental visits.

At Palmer Distinctive Dentistry, we care greatly about the health and wellbeing of our guests. Replacement of missing teeth is vitally important to oral health and total wellness. Call our Greenville office today to set up a visit and learn more about the benefits of Zirconia implants.
