We can't wait to see you! May 4th
Transcript
Hey! I want to bring you some good news. We are going to be able to open back up on May 4th and I know there's been a lot of talk about aerosols. I don't know if the public’s been hearing it, but the American Dental Association is talking about aerosols.
Well, that just amazes me because my office has been protecting patients from aerosols since we started our practice in mercury safe dentistry. When you take mercury out of the mouth, it creates an aerosol and that
aerosol is sub-micron — you cannot see it. You might see some water droplets sometimes, but you cannot see the dangerous parts that mercury particulate puts off as vapor in those aerosols. Same thing with viruses
- they are sub-microns, they are small, very tiny particles and you can't see them, which is why President Trump’s talking about the unseen enemy. So, I thought I’d create some aerosols you can see. I'm going to
cut a piece of timber, and you are going to see sawdust and pretty fine particles. So, here goes - I want you to see what the aerosol looks like.
It flows through the air, it’s going to go down and settle on something. And that's what happens in dental offices that don't protect you from that aerosol. And how do we protect you? One of the ways we protect you is we use a high volume suction machine.
This paper lining in here is full of sawdust. One thing we'll be doing differently in the office is we'll always be protecting you from mercury particulate and vapor. Our office is equipped with four filtration units and three of those have UV lights and charcoal filters. The fourth one, which is the biggest one, also has an ionic ionizer on it that puts charges on the particles to capture them in the units. The other thing we have is ozone, and we are going to start using ozone in the evenings when you are not there. We’re actually going to ozonate the office which will wipe out all things in the office that are bad - pathogens, viruses, bacteria. Thanks everybody, see you next month!
