Dental Implants

Dental implant process is simplified with Greenville dentist

Missing teeth can make it difficult for a person to have a confident smile. A dental implant is a popular restorative treatment and the dental implant process is easier than one may think. Palmer Distinctive Dentistry in Greenville, SC, is a holistic dental office that offers state-of-the-art metal-free dental implants as a way to restore your smile.

The dental implant process is simple, but guests need to be willing to invest several months into the treatment plan. To begin, you will consult with us to discuss your dental concerns and to consider which dental restoration treatment is right for you. Your plan may consist of a combination of treatments, or it may simply consist of dental implants.

During the consultation, we will perform diagnostic testing using innovative technology such as 3D Cone Beam. These tests will create a clear picture of the anatomy of your teeth, the location of the nerves, and will pinpoint the precise location where the implant will go.

At the next appointment, implant surgery will be done. Dr. Palmer use innovative technology known as Z-Systems, which are metal-free dental implants. Traditionally, implants consist of a metal screw that is implanted into the jaw, which can cause a dark line to form at the gums and comes with a host of potential side effects from having metal in the mouth. The Z-Systems implant is a healthy, non-toxic alternative that contains no metal.

The one-piece all-zirconia Z-Look3 implant is highly biocompatible and more aesthetically pleasing. First, the implant screw is placed in the bone socket of the missing tooth. During the healing process, which can last three to six months, the jawbone grows around the implant to anchor it securely to the jaw. Once the implant is stabilized, a crown, bridge or even a full denture can be placed on top, depending on the restoration treatment plan.

If you are a Greenville-area resident interested in learning more about these state-of-the-art dental implants or the dental implant process itself, call Palmer Distinctive Dentistry at to set up a consultation.
