Professional teeth whitening for your bright, white smile in Greenville, SC

One of the first things that people notice about you is your smile, there is no shame in wanting it to look as beautiful as possible. Having a bright, white smile can have terrific effects on all areas of your life, from work to social situations and everything in between. Whether you are interested in whitening your teeth for a big upcoming event or are simply tired of looking at yellowed, stained teeth, at Palmer Distinctive Dentistry in Greenville, SC, we have options for you! We offer in-office and at-home teeth whitening options to help you achieve the smile of your dreams.

The KöR tooth whitening system

As a holistic dental practice, we are invested in not only helping you achieve a better-looking smile but also doing it in a way that will promote the health of your teeth. That’s why we use the KöR tooth whitening system. This safe and highly effective system restores the ability of your teeth to absorb oxygen, which is a critical component of tooth whitening gels. When your teeth absorb the active whitening ingredients more deeply, it leads to:

  • Brighter, whiter teeth than typical whitening treatments – KöR can make your teeth up to 16 shades lighter!
  • Longer-lasting results
  • Little to no tooth sensitivity

The KöR system is developed with an innovative tri-barrel™, dual-activated hydremide® peroxide formulation and a unique delivery system that is designed to achieve fantastic results. The whitening gel was specifically developed to minimize the pain and sensitivity that tooth whitening can produce, so most guests experience little to no discomfort when they use the gentle KöR system. The whitening gel is continually refrigerated from the time it is manufactured until it reaches the office to ensure that the product’s integrity is not compromised. This means that when you use the whitening gel, it is nearly 100% as effective as the day it was made. Because whitening gels are inherently unstable, this cannot be said of most other whitening products that are available.

It is so effective that even the toughest stains can be improved—for example, tetracycline stains are notoriously difficult to remove from teeth, but KöR can significantly improve their appearance. And even better, it doesn’t require the use of lasers or lights that need to be held uncomfortably in place in your mouth during treatment.

At-home and in-office treatment options

At Palmer Distinctive Dentistry, we offer two types of teeth whitening with the KöR system: in-office and at-home whitening. We offer both options because no two guests are alike, and each guest has unique treatment preferences and oral health needs that may make one option better for them than the other. Dr. Palmer is happy to discuss each option at length with you to help you determine which is best.

Comfortable maintenance treatments

Eating deeply pigmented foods such as tomato sauce or drinking wine, coffee, or tea can all lead to staining over time, as can smoking or chewing tobacco. But with easy at-home maintenance treatments, you can refresh your smile whenever it becomes necessary. Because of the deep absorption level of KöR, guests often find that they don’t need to perform maintenance treatments as frequently as with other products, such as over-the-counter whitening strips.

Learn whether teeth whitening is right for you

Most people are good candidates for professional teeth whitening. We typically recommend that guests who are suffering from active tooth decay or gum disease get those treated before they whiten their teeth—when you do this, your whole mouth radiates health from the inside out! It is also important to understand that the whitening solution cannot change the color of dental restorations such as veneers, crowns, or partial dentures. Because of this, if you have old restorations that have become yellowed or discolored over time, it may be time to consider replacing them with brighter, newer restorations if you are interested in whitening your teeth. Dr. Palmer can work with you to determine how to schedule out your procedures so that you achieve brilliant, beautiful results.
