Dental Crowns and Bridges

Our guests can reap the benefits of CEREC crowns in Greenville, SC

Many people, at some point in time, may experience the need for tooth restoration beyond a standard filling. At Palmer Distinctive Dentistry, we do what we can to help our guests avoid the need for extensive repairs by encouraging regular dental exams and cleanings, and arming each guest with the education on oral hygiene that best suits his or her needs. In situations where a filling is not sufficient for optimal repair, we may discuss the various benefits that are available with CEREC crowns, made right in our Greenville, SC office.

CEREC chair side restorations are different from conventional crowns in a few key ways. Treatment with both conventional crowns and CEREC restorations involves the removal of damaged tissue and the reduction of tooth structure in order to accommodate the crown. The process of designing a conventional crown begins with the preparation of the tooth, and subsequent impressions using a gooey material, which hardens into a mold to be sent to a dental laboratory. Affected by temperature and time, this standard material may result in discrepancies in the fit of the permanent crown, and fit is vital to the longevity of function.

CEREC restorations, including inlays, onlays, and crowns, are designed to perfectly replicate tooth structure to support comfortable, effective chewing. Rather than relying on conventional, pliable material for impressions, CEREC captures images using 3D photographic technology. Beginning crown treatment with this high standard of imaging sets the tone for successful restoration.

A CEREC crown is made in our office, offering us the advantage of real-time assessment and adjustment. Coupled with imaging that gives us the best reading of the margins of teeth, CEREC technology facilitates truly customized treatment.

With CEREC crowns, you gain the ability to reduce your dental visits. Aided by innovative equipment, high quality materials, and dental precision, CEREC restorations meet our needs for long lasting treatments, and our guests’ needs for convenience and aesthetically pleasing results.

Your smile deserves treatment tailored to your needs. Contact Palmer Distinctive Dentistry for more information on our CEREC services, or to schedule your visit with our knowledgeable team.
