This means you will have to be fitted with a temporary crown in the interim. Once your final crown is ready, you come back to the office to have the temporary one removed and the permanent one placed. With CEREC, Dr. Palmer’s design can be sent to the in-office milling machine during your visit. He chooses a ceramic block that matches the color of your teeth, and in about fifteen minutes, your crown is ready!
• Adjustments are easier. If a standard crown is not quite right when it is received from the laboratory, adjustments can be difficult. Changes of color require the restoration to be sent back to the lab. With CEREC, adjustments can be made quickly, allowing you to receive your crown in one appointment.
