Dental Crowns and Bridges

Zirconia dental bridges available at Palmer Distinctive Dentistry

At Palmer Distinctive Dentistry, we are excited to have some amazing in-house technology to use for our guests. When restorations such as dental crowns and bridges are required, our team may suggest that guests consider our practice for same-day repairs. We use CEREC technology in our facility. CEREC is a CAD/CAM system that can fabricate restorations such as crowns, bridges, inlays, and onlays on-site in about 20 minutes.

CEREC technology allows Dr. John Palmer to repair smiles in just one visit, instead of waiting to receive restorations from the ceramist and placing them during a second appointment. We want to be able to fix our guests’ smiles as soon as possible so they can get on with their day without any interruptions.

Dental bridges are popular for guests who are faced with the loss of a natural tooth. Bridges in our practice are fabricated from a special ceramic called zirconia. This is a strong, durable, and beautiful material that can stand the test of time. Restorations made from zirconia are known to last quite some time before repair or replacement is needed. Dental bridges are made with dental crowns fused to false teeth called pontics. They create a long restoration that the dentist will bond into place over the adjacent teeth, allowing the false tooth or teeth to slide into the gap.

CEREC technology allows precise repairs. Impressions are taken of the prepared teeth and digitized into the software. The milling machine can then fabricate the new restoration in a relatively short period of time for same-day placement. If changes need to be made, it can be done right away instead of requiring guests to wait even longer for a new bridge.

Dr. John Palmer of Palmer Distinctive Dentistry want to help you and your family in achieving the smile you’ve always wanted. Book an appointment today by calling and speaking with our front office team. We welcome new guests into our practice at all times, allowing them to see what sets us apart from the competition.
